Miss Independence Nigeria dreaming Big.

Having emerged Miss Independence
Nigeria recently, Sandra is stepping
out again to capture another coveted
crown, Safari Beauty Queen of the
Year. In a recent chat with HVP, the
beauty queen went down memory lane,
recalling how she entered for Miss
Independence Nigeria beauty contest.
She revealed that “It was not in my
mind to be part of the competition.”
According to her, she wanted to
contest for the Most Beautiful Girl in
Nigeria and also, Miss Nigeria, before
luck smiled on her. She got to know
about the FOI competition some two
weeks before the entry deadline.
Some of my friends, she said, “tried to
discourage me, but my mum
encouraged me to give it a trial,
advising that it is not compulsory that
you must win every competition you
entered for, but you can take away the
exposure and experience you would
acquire from participating in the
competition.
That was how she entered for Miss
Independence Nigeria beauty contest,
which she later won . Since her reign,
she has embarked on laudable
projects geared towards giving back to
the society. Recently, she unveiled
her sickle cell anaemia pet project,
calling on the government to assist
her realise that vision.
She said, she’s planning to build a
Sickle Cell Anaemia Centre in Calabar,
Cross River State. “My pet projects
are on creating sickle cell anaemia
centre and creating an avenue where
the voices of young people can be
heard at large,”she said.
The Akwa-Ibom-born beauty queen
has a passion for helping to fight
against Sickle Cell Anaemia and
Voices Against Sexual Harassment,’
which has become a recurring
decimal in our society.
